Heavy & Fancy DGC Spring Update
Heavy and Fancy Awarded PDGA Grant for Sustainability
We’re proud to share that H&F received a Professional Disc Golf Association Throw Green Grant to help guide sustainability efforts on the property. We’re also working with the NC Wildlife and Forestry Service to develop a Forestry Stewardship Plan that blends great disc golf with responsible land management. This includes selective forest thinning to keep trees healthy, removing invasive species, planting native pollinator plants, and adding wildlife habitat. The goal is a course that’s fun to play and helps the land long term.
Course updates:
- All baskets are installed (yellow and red positions)
- Short tees are all in place, and long tees are being installed
- Long tee positions for holes 1–9 are currently playable
- We’re continuing to add bridges, improve access, and work on the pond
